The Kansas City Dietitian Collective is an insurance-based private practice serving the Kansas City Metro and beyond. We are a group of expert registered dietitians passionate about helping people find solutions to complex health issues through personalized nutrition and integrative health practices.
Our vision is to empower our clients with creative solutions and manageable steps to feel better than they believed was possible. We pair each of our clients with the perfect dietitian to help address their specific concerns. We are currently looking for the pear-fect dietitian to round out our team.

The Details
Qualifications:
- Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential required
- Licensed in Kansas and Missouri or eligible for licensure in both states
- Minimum 3–5 years of nutrition counseling experience; leadership or management experience strongly preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance patient care and team management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and foster team collaboration
- Proactive self-starter who is comfortable jumping into unfamiliar areas and problem-solving independently
- Strong attention to detail and organization
Job Type:
Full-time (hybrid role – at least two days per week in our South Overland Park Office)
- This unique hybrid role combines leadership and operational management (50%) with direct patient care (50%).
- Flexible schedule – our dietitians work some non-traditional hours to accommodate our client needs.
Pay:
- 70,000-80,000 total compensation package
Job Duties include but is not limited to:
Clinical Operations & Administrative Management (~25%)
- Oversee day-to-day operational workflows to support the dietitian team.
- Manage incoming faxes, triage documentation, and route tasks appropriately.
- Track, manage and call referrals to support patient acquisition and help drive growth
- Partner with the Practice Operations Advisor to ensure SOPs, resources, and protocols are followed consistently
- Support the Practice Operations Advisor on implementation of new workflows and operational initiatives as needed.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with the administrative team to ensure smooth operations
People & Team Management (~25%)
- Lead hiring efforts: conduct phone screens, interviews, and coordinate the selection process.
- Oversee new employee onboarding and orientation.
- Manage the clinical schedule and ensure appropriate staffing coverage.
- Provide ongoing clinical supervision, including visit audits, cosigning notes, and giving structured feedback.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and goal-setting conversations.
- Develop content for and help facilitate team meetings.
- Foster professional growth, collaboration, and a supportive team culture.
- Coordinate onboarding and scheduling for students and interns.
- Serve as the main point of contact for student questions during their time with the practice.
Direct Patient Care (~50%)
- Provide individualized nutrition counseling in both in-person and virtual settings.
- Develop and implement evidence-based nutrition care plans.
- Document patient encounters in compliance with professional and practice standards.
- Maintain current knowledge of nutrition science, medical nutrition therapy, and best practices.
Job Schedule:
- Flexible daytime and early evening hours
- Some weekend availability is a bonus but not mandatory
